Feel like...: sad

It's been 10 years and it seems like just yesterday. I must admit though that the pain still lingers.

My baby girl is officially a teenager today. It seems just like yesterday that I was holding her in my arms. I know is sounds all cliche, but it's times like this that make you realize how fast kids grow up. Just 2 years from now, she'll be begging me (more than she already does)to teach her how to drive. I'm not ready for that. Financialy or mentally.

[info]madam_minnie and I bought her her first cell phone as a birthday present. We're hoping that she'll be responsible with it, but only time will tell. We did lay down some ground rules, so we'll have to monitor her to see if she abides by them.

She definitely has the hang of text messaging having messaged me 5 times on my drive to work. Lol.

In a few years I'll be buying her brothers a phone as well and complaining how old I feel then too. Oh well, you only live once. Might as well enjoy it to the fullest.

Happy Birthday Anitza. Mom and I love you!!

Never personally having experienced the procedure, I still think I can honestly say that I feel like I gave birth today.

Damn I am tired.

That is all.

WWE

good

Feel like...: good

I was sitting here watching Monay Night Raw that [info]madam_minnie recorded for me on DVR and my daughter was commenting on how much she loved the entrance music for John Cena. Yes I let her watch. Save for your bad parenting comments for another day, please.

It got me thinking about past entrance music and the effect it had on the crowd. I put together my top 5 list. I'd like to get yours. Here are the requirements of my unofficial poll:

Only WWE (formerly WWF) entrances apply, and it's based on the level of excitement that it brought to the crowd and you watching on TV.

1. Ultimate Warrior....His entrance was so adrenaline filled.
2. Stone Cold Steve Austin....When that glass shattered sound effect occurred, you knew some kick ass was about to start.
3. Undertaker....I refer to the Limp Bizkit "Rolling" song when he entered on motorcycle.
4. Hulk Hogan....I like when he entered to the "I am a real American" music.
5. The Rock....He is after all "The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment"

This will probably be lame for those non-wrestling fans, but I was bored, lol.

Talk about an uncomfortable feeling....

drained

Feel like...: drained

There is an employee of mine who I will refer to as "C". He is a guy from New York who recently relocated to Orlando to find a better place for his daughter. He is a single dad who spoils his daughter beyond belief. Anyway, I brought this kid along and put him under my wings and gave him a route that used to be mine. It was a tough route, so hard in fact that I had previously trained no less than 12 others who couldn't do it.

"C" caught on very quickly, impressing me which isn't an easy task. Within a week he had the route down and within 2 weeks was even doing it without a map, just like I do. 4 months has now gone by and none of my other 15 drivers eat him on performance.

Throughout the Christmas season, every single year, there are packages that mysteriously disappear. The company I work for finally installed all over our warehouse state of the art cameras.

The head of Loss Prevention came up tome the other day and asked to speak to me in private. That's never a good thing. He proceeded to tell me that he has been investigating all of the missing packages and he has come to the conclusion that "C" is the thief. He showed me evidence from the recording system that left me with my mouth wide open in shock. I try to defend all of my drivers as a good Manager should, but from what I saw on tape, there was nothing I could say. I didn't want to believe that "C" was a thief but it's hard to argue with the video evidence.

"C" was brought in to a closed meeting with myself, the owner of my company, and the head of Loss Prevention. "C" denied everything. I said nothing. The owner of my company told the Loss Prevention guy that he would not fire "C" until he had more concrete evidence.

That concrete evidence came today. "C" is out on his route right now much to the chagrin Mr.Loss Prevention. However, he will surely have the last laugh. "C" has no idea that when he arrives back to out warehouse tonight, 2 uniformed police officers will be here waiting for him to take him away.

On one hand I'm glad that our thief has been caught but on the other hand I really liked this kid and thought he would mount to something big. I was his mentor and he let me down.

So who loses in all of this? Me? "C"? The answer is neither. "C" will surely pay the penalty for stealing by getting arrested in a few hours and going to jail, but the biggest loser in this entire ordeal is his innocent, beautiful 5 year old daughter.

Life sucks sometimes, you know?

Your True Love Is a Pisces

Why you'll love a Pisces:

Selfless and intuitive, you are perfect for a Pisces that lives to love you.
You're sensitive enough to appreciate and explore the deep emotions of a Pisces.

Why a Pisces will love you:

You're generous and totally giving in relationships, something Pisces demands.
You are also dreamy enough to get lost in fantasy with Pisces, but realistic enough to stay grounded.
